More than 25 locals make up this talented cast, taking you on the journey of a lifetime.
SOUTH BOSTON, VA — Halifax County Little Theatre (HCLT) is thrilled to announce the cast for its upcoming production of C.S. Lewis’s timeless classic, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. This beloved dramatization faithfully recreates the magic and mystery of Aslan, the great lion, his epic struggle with the White Witch, and the adventures of four children who inadvertently wander from an old wardrobe into the never-to-be-forgotten realm of Narnia. With intense action, chases, and duels, the story celebrates love, faith, courage, and the triumph of good over evil.
Director Elisabeth Brogden steers this journey into Narnia, bringing a deep personal connection to the production. Brogden made her acting debut in this very show 20 years ago and is now returning to lead the creative vision from the director’s chair.
“Directing this production is a profound full-circle moment for me,” said Brogden. “Having started my own acting journey in Narnia two decades ago, returning to direct this incredibly talented cast through the wardrobe has been a joy.”
Leading this magical cast as the great and noble lion, Aslan, is Evan Snead, who is no stranger to the stage, having performed since childhood in The Prizery and HCLT productions. Snead most recently appeared in The Prizery’s production of “And Then There Were None.”
Taking on the chilling role of the villainous White Witch is Sophya Domitio. The newcomer to Halifax County will be making her HCLT debut, after starring as Vera in The Prizery’s production of “And Then There Were None.”
A stellar group of young actors portrays the four Pevensie children, whose curiosity sets the entire adventure in motion. Stepping into the shoes of the brave eldest sibling, Peter, is Christopher Mosher. Brooklyn Comer will play the logical and gentle Susan. Playing the rebellious and easily tempted Edmund is Liam Head. Rounding out the Pevensie children as the faithful and imaginative Lucy is Pierson Mears.
A talented troupe of actors, both seasoned and newcomers, rounds out the 27-person cast.
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe opens on Friday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m. and will run through November 22, 2026. There will be three matinee shows – November 14 and 15 at 3 p.m. and November 21 at 10 a.m. Tickets are on sale now at www.hclt.org and at the Halifax County Visitor Center (1180 Bill Tuck Highway).
